Where Marasi Bay actually is
If the name is unfamiliar, that is normal, and the portals do not help. Marasi Bay is the canal waterfront inside Business Bay, along the Dubai Water Canal and its marina. Portals file VELA VIENTO under Business Bay; OMNIYAT, which built the quarter, files the same tower under Marasi Bay, and Marasi Drive addresses turn up both ways. Both are correct — one is the district, the other the stretch of water inside it — so search either and expect the same buildings.
The towers, and the name that gets confused
- The Lana Residences, Dorchester Collection — residences for sale above the hotel, in a building that is complete and lived in. They are not The Lana hotel: search results mix the two constantly, and a page about a room rate says nothing about buying a floor.
- VELA, Dorchester Collection and VELA VIENTO, Dorchester Collection — Foster + Partners towers on the canal, VELA VIENTO with duplex layouts. Always the full name, VELA VIENTO — the short form belongs to something else entirely.
- ENARA by OMNIYAT — offices, not apartments, and listed as such.
